Truckers jump into action, chasing knife-wielding robbery suspect into truckstop

MOSES LAKE, WA- Dangerous highways are not the only dangers America's truckers face daily. Simply resting in a truck at a truck stop can also put the driver in harm's way. Sometimes drivers are lucky, and there are people that are willing to fight back. This is one of those times.

According to Source One News, chaos erupted at Ernie's Truck Stop Saturday night in Moses Lake, WA. According to the report, a trucker was asleep in his truck when a man armed with a knife entered his truck. The startled driver confronted the suspect, who then fled with the pissed-off driver hot on his tail. The driver reportedly ran towards another truck, screaming at other drivers, who then began chasing the knife-wielding moron.

The unidentified suspect thought it would be a good idea to try and take shelter inside the truck stop, only to be met by even more pissed-off drivers who were intent on teaching this scum a lesson. Just as they got ready to beat the daylights out of the suspect, he was saved by responding officers from the Moses Lake Police Department, who quickly took the suspect into custody. His name has not been released.

Truck parking has long been an issue drivers face each day, or rather the lack of parking. The USDOT lists a shortage of 40,000 truck parking spots. It is not just the lack of truck parking that plagues our country, but safety, while parked, is a much larger, less talked about issue.
